GREAT THINGS!
Every day associations do great, important, and much needed work. Some efforts capture the attention of members; others impact society as a whole. We learn of associations that are pushing boundaries and redefining engagement. These initiatives captivate and fascinate and leave us with the sense that we can look at industry challenges through different lenses and that our own organizations could take greater risks and attempt more.
It is in this spirit that we offer the following examples- not as mere templates or models but as sources of inspiration and starting points for discussions and the knowledge that paradigm shifts can sometimes be necessary and healthy steps in the right direction and can breathe fresh life into associations. What “doing great things” means, can vary from association to association, but certainly thinking innovatively about challenges and potential impact is a key component.
